I was ringing around trying to find someone who would cut a hole in my boat roof so I could install my flue. David had been recommended to me through the London Boaters Facebook group as someone I should speak to. Of all the people I spoke to that day, David was by far and away the most helpful, with advice on materials and places to research the best method to use. We kept in touch and four months later David installed a Themotop Webasto in my boat, which I am very pleased with. Subsequently, David has also installed a Mikuni heating system in my girlfriend’s narrow boat. David can be typified by his attention to detail, use of quality materials, excellent workmanship and, above all, his helpful nature. Highly recommended!

I first contacted David to replace a broken water pump, and he was so fast and efficient that I’ve called him on many occasions since. He clearly explains what he’s doing and why he’s doing it, and cares about doing a good job. Highly recommended!

David came recommended by someone in my marina. He was prompt, professional and exceptionally detailed, methodical and tidy, both during the job and afterwards.

I had a non-invasive service on a Webasto thermotop and then, a few weeks later, a more intensive service requiring the burner to be replaced. It was clear to a non-expert the burner had been misused despite being only a few years old, and David took the time to explain the best way to utilise the unit. Part of the burner issue was an underpowered set of radiators. Rads are fairly inexpensive so a quick trip to Screwfix by me had some new ones bought and David put them on in no time.

I also had the Thermocall installed so can operate remotely by text/app. David suggested getting at least two different PAYG mobile SIMs from different providers just in case there was a signal issue. Great suggestion as my preferred provider (three) wouldn’t work inside the boat in the spot where the Sim card holder was located. I would have been frustrated at this, and doubt many others would think of it.

I cannot recommend David highly enough and I often do recommend him to others.

I bought my Webasto heater from East Coast Marine last year. I was very impressed with the professionalism, care and support I received. This has also been the case on every occasion I have sought aftersales help or advice since then.

I originally contacted David to help me out in an electrical emergency. He turned up promptly, explained the problem concisely and simply, and fixed it efficiently! I then asked him to take a look at my 25 year old Webasto heating system that worked only spasmodically. Again, David’s explanation of both the system and the reason why it wasn’t working was concise and, most importantly for a layman like me, perfectly understandable. He fitted a new Webasto system that works brilliantly well, and did so for a very reasonable price.

David is prompt, straightforward, super efficient and he has given huge confidence to a boat owner who has only moved aboard fairly recently. Through David, I am now being introduced to a small network of all types of craftspeople to do with life afloat! David is highly, highly recommended!

We purchased our Mikuni unit from East Coast Marine. We love it! East Coast gave us full support when we installed it and, eighteen months on, we have yet to experience a single problem with it: it has kept us comfortable on even the coldest days.
