Tell people about this business:

We are accredited boat painters at Blackthorn Lake Marina in Ringstead, Northamptonshire (where we are based), as well as at Willy Watt Marina and Middle Nene Cruising Club.

We also carry out boat blackening and anode replacement, replace tiller arm bushes, and all aspects of welding work can be carried out.

At Nene Boat Painters, we believe in delivering value for money – we are boaters working for boaters.

We are over the moon with what Nene Boat Painters have done with our home. Kris has achieved an absolutely stunning paint job. It really stands out and has been remarked upon more times than we can remember.

And before Kris painted, I saw his preparation. All the decking was cleared of cleats, mushrooms and everything. The windows, frames and doors were covered. All the rust was removed, treated and filled. All the old paint was ground off. Two coats of red oxide, two coats of primer and I know at least two coats of paint. Then the lines. Then the polishing. Truly, he is a master of his trade.

This might sound a bit over-the-top to anyone who reads this recommendation, but we are so pleased with the way our boat looks now, we would be only too happy to tell anybody just how good a job has been done.

Over and above these results, Kris is a damn nice guy to do business with. It’s always reassuring when you can put your trust in someone.

My boat arrived at Blackthorne in grey primer, very sad and a little battle worn, and emerged a few weeks later a beautiful, sleek black swan. Nothing was too much trouble for Kris and his team, who took care of everything and willingly arranged external services on my behalf. And since he charged me an amount far lower than that estimated by any of the other boat painters I received quotes from, I could also afford – on a limited budget – a ‘go a bit faster stripe’, sign-writing and sharks teeth on my bow. I thank you so much and wish you many more years of successful trading.

Nene Boat Painters recently painted my boat and I found them friendly and professional, and willing to take on board my wishes and ideas. I would definitely recommend their services.

We have signwritten boats painted by NBP for several years, and the finish they produce is superb, as is their attention to detail. We can recommend NBP to anyone looking to have their boat worked on – the pictures on their website speak for themselves!

My 42.5-foot narrow boat was in dire need of a makeover. Nene Boat Painters stripped it down and re-painted it. I am very happy with the excellent quality of their work; the boat looks like new! This is a very pleasant and efficient company to deal with and I can highly recommend them. They also did an outstanding job of sign-writing my boat.

I have been involved with two projects at Nene Boat Painters and have seen first hand the high quality of their work, with an impressive attention to detail and a meticulous finish.
